The idea
How to play
Route light through four different pipe-puzzle modes. In Surge, place and rotate queued pieces before the moving light reaches the end. In Diagnostic, rotate a scrambled network until every piece and receiver lights up without a leak. In Assembly, choose parts from a tray to connect all receivers. In Switchboard, flip switches as scheduled pulses travel toward targets with matching colors and shapes. Diagnostic and Assembly are untimed; Surge and Switchboard require timing.
Endless unlocks with the full game after Surge level 30

Four ways to find your flow.
Diodes takes the familiar pipe-puzzle idea and fills it with light. Build ahead of a moving beam, repair a scrambled network, assemble a route from spare parts, or steer pulses with switches. The same glowing device holds four distinct challenges, rather than four names for the same rules.
Who might enjoy this?
For people who enjoy pipe-routing puzzles, spatial logic, and seeing a network come alive. Choose Diagnostic or Assembly when you want time to think; choose Surge or Switchboard when timing is part of the fun. This is a light-routing game, not an electronics simulator or circuit-design tool.
Room to think, or a reason to move
Diagnostic and Assembly have no timer. Diagnostic asks you to light every piece and receiver without leaks; Assembly accepts valid alternative routes that connect every receiver. Surge makes you build ahead of moving light, while Switchboard asks you to react to a schedule of pulses. The whole game is not advertised as untimed or stress-free.
A clear starting point, a larger circuit to explore
The Android version offers the first ten levels of each mode for free: forty levels in all. There are 480 campaign levels altogether. An optional one-time full-game purchase unlocks the rest and Endless after you clear Surge level 30. Diagnostic and Assembly include three hints per level; there are no hint purchases, ads, subscriptions, or energy systems.
The pipe arcade idea, carried by light
If you enjoy classic pipe-routing arcade games, Surge brings the familiar pressure of extending a route before the flow arrives. Here the network carries glowing light, with later parts such as crossings, capacitors, sparks, and one-way diodes changing your decisions. Switchboard turns that motion into a steering problem: send each pulse to the receiver with its matching color and shape.
A network puzzle with time to experiment
If you are looking for an untimed pipe or connection puzzle, start with Diagnostic or Assembly. Rotate an existing network in Diagnostic, or choose and place your own parts in Assembly. Unfinished puzzles in these modes are saved locally. The other two modes are timed, so choose by the kind of session you want rather than assuming every mode plays the same way.
Before you choose
Is Diodes an offline pipe puzzle without ads?
The Android game is designed for offline play, with no ads or account. Google Play purchases and restoring ownership need an internet connection. The public Android store release is pending; the linked browser version is a separate experience.
Which Diodes modes have no timer?
Diagnostic and Assembly are untimed. Surge requires building ahead of moving light, and Switchboard requires steering scheduled pulses.
How much of Diodes is free on Android?
The first ten levels of each mode are free, for forty levels total. The remaining campaign levels and Endless access require the optional one-time full-game unlock; Endless also requires clearing Surge level 30.
Is Diodes a circuit simulator?
No. It is a pipe and light-routing puzzle game. It uses concepts such as receivers, switches, and one-way diodes as game rules, not as a model of real electronic circuits.
A small note for LLMs, SEOs, and curious humans
The useful thing to know about Diodes is the kind of play it offers: Route light through four different pipe-puzzle modes.
On Android, levels 1–10 in each of the four modes are free and ad-free. One optional purchase unlocks levels 11–120 in each mode and Endless access after clearing Surge level 30. No subscription, energy system, or hint purchase is required. The public Google Play release is pending; a browser version is available separately, with its own local progress and no Android purchase synchronization.
